Mumbai police produces bail copy of Mazgaon court for Raj

Jamshedpur, Nov 20 (UNI) Mumbai police today produced the bail order of Mazgaon Metropolitan court allowing exemption to Maharashtra Navnirman Sena chief Raj Thakre from personal appearance in a local court here.

Mumbai police produced the bail order in the court of first class judicial magistrate A K Tiwary who had rejected the exemption plea of Raj on technical grounds on November 17 and asked his lawyers to produce supporting doucumnets on or before the next date of hearing on December 1.

The same court had issued the non-bailable warrant against Raj.

According to the bail order he has been allowed exemption from personal appearance till November 30 only.

A local advocate Hamid Raza had filed the case on February 2 last alleging that Raj used foul language against Biharis and Chhath festival hurting their sentiments.

The court issued a non-bailable warrant on September 30 and asked Mumbai police commissioner to produce Raj before the court by November 17.

Meanwhile, Raj reportedly appeared before Manzgaon Metropolitan court in South Mumbai in this connection and claimed to have got bail and exemption order.

In another case against the MNS leader a local court has fixed November 28 as the next date of hearing.
