Govt's purchase to go up to Rs 6,50,00 cr by 2010;Minister
New Delhi, Nov 20 (UNI) A Central minister today sounded positive about the country's growth potential notwithstanding the downturn caused by the global financial crisis.
Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises Minister Santosh Mohan Dev said government's procurement is expected to go up to Rs 6,50,000 crore by 2010 in view of the country's potential to expand its economy even if the current demand has slowed down.
Speaking at a seminar organised by industry chamber Assocham, he said; "We expect government's procurement go up by at least 25 to 30 per cent in next two years".
