AIKS demands incentive scheme to tenant farmers
Vijayawada, Nov 20 (UNI) All India Kisan Sabha (AIKS) has urged the Andhra Pradesh government to implement incentive schemes to tenant farmers and issue fresh loans to those who had lost their crops in the recent Khymukh cyclone in the state.
Addressing a press conference here, AIKS Vice-President Kolli Nageswara Rao said the government should extent the benefits of the Centre's loan waiver scheme to tenant farmers also.
Claiming that three lakh acres of paddy crop were damamged due to the recent cyclone, he urged the government to distribute free seeds, subsidised fertilizers and fresh loans to these farmers.
