5 candidates file nominations in Kathua for J
Jammu, Nov 20 (UNI) Five candidates, representing different parties, filed nomination papers in their respective constituencies on the final day of filing papers in Kathua district for the seven-phase Jammu and Kashmir Assembly elections.
''The candidates, including Girdhari Lal Chalotra (Congress), Ashok Kumar (JKNPP) and Bansi Lal Kandlay (Independent), filed their nomination papers for Hiranagar Assembly constituency while Independent candidate Ranjit Singh and Romesh Chander of Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) filed their nominations from Billawar and Basholi Assembly constituencies respectively yesterday,'' official sources said.
However, with five candidates filing papers from Kathua district, which is going to poll in the fifth phase on December 13, it brings the total number of nominations to 13.
