Women and Child hospital to start soon: Minister
Puducherry, Nov 19 (UNI) The women and child hospital of the Puducherry administration would start functioning in another three months, Health Minister E Valsaraj said today.
Distributing opticals to 58 students of the Savarirayalu Government Higher Secondary School here, who were diogonised with eye problem on behalf of the Rahul Gandhi Seva Iyyakkam and the Revage table-104 on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Indira Gandhi, Mr Valsraj said Rs 15 crore more was required for the completion of the women and child hosptial here.
The hospital could not be completed immediately due to the paucity of funds. However, it would start functioning in another three months, he added.
Stating that after he assumed office as Home Minister 1,007 police personnel had donated their eyes, he said adding after Hithendran's parents donated the organs, there was much awarness among the people and many had come forward for organ donation.
