State Human Rights Commission directs police to submit report

Hyderabad, Nov 19 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh State Human Rights Commission today directed the Deputy Inspector General of Police Rayalaseema region to submit a report on the attack on Praja Rajyam Party (PRP)leaders and workers by unidentified miscreants at Pulivendula, the home constituency of the State Chief Minister Dr.Y.S.

Rajasekhara Reddy yesterday.

A delegation of PRP leaders led by PRP Founder Chiranjeevi's brother-in-law Allu Aravind, spokesperson Dr Mithra, met with the Human Rights Commission Chairman Justice B Subhashan Reddy and submited a memorandum.

They also met with the State Director General of Police S S P Yadav and brought to his notice the attack and urged him to render justice to party workers and leaders.

The party workers also staged sit-in dharnas in front of Gandhi Statues all over the state, in protest against the attack on party leaders and workers yesterday.
