Salem intensifies tax collection, launches mobile units

Salem, Nov 19: The Salem Corporation intensified its tax collection drive by installing its mobile unit to all the four zones in the city. Civic officials collected tax through the mobile unit in Bazaar Street, First Agraharam, Second Agraharam, Car street, Pillayar temple street, Kasu Muniappan temple street, Sankaralayam road, Old Bus stand and Anand Bridge.

According to a press release, the unit is currently operating in several wards in Ammapet zone. The tax collection target of the zone for the current fiscal is Rs. 13.25 crore.
