Rupee open falls to 49.72 per US dollar
Mumbai, Nov 19: The rupee eased further by five paise to 49.72 in the opening session on Wednesday, Nov 19, as compared to its last close at 49.67, on fresh buying of dollars by foreign banks and others. The partially convertible rupee fluctuated in a narrow range between 49.70 and 49.81 against USD in the intra-day trade.
''The rupee opened low, as weaker Asian equities raised concerns of foreign fund withdrawals from the local stock market,'' dealers said.
