Rahul thanks producers for opportunity to show his real side

Mumbai, Nov 19 (UNI) Rahul Mahajan, son of the slain BJP leader Pramod Mahajan, today said people got to know his real side through the realty show 'Bigg Boss', and thanked the producers for giving him the opportunity.

''I am honest and genuine '', he told reporters here and said he alongwith other three occupants went out of the house not because of anger but because of hunger. ''Money was the not objective of my participation in the show and even if I would have won the Rs one crore prize money, I would have given it away in charity'', he said.

Rahul backed Ashutosh to be the winner of the show.

He was evicted after he declined to tender an apology for his ''misconduct'' of leaving the 'Bigg Boss' house along with three other finalists.

'Bigg Boss' had sought an apology from Rahul Mahajan, Raja Chaudhary, Zulfi Syed and Ashutosh Kaushik, who had dodged the vast array of cameras at the house in Lonavala, against rules and regulations of the reality show.

''I was told that only three people could stay in the house after that episode. I volunteered to quit. There is satisfaction in sacrifice,'' Rahul said.
