ISPP honours HAU scientists

Chandigarh, Nov 19 (UNI) The Indian Society for Plant Physiology (ISPP) has honoured Professor, Dr A S Nandwal and Senior Scientist Dr Rajiv Angrish both from the Department of Botany and Plant Physiology of Haryana Agricultural University.

A spokesman of the University said that ISPP had honoured them with the Award of Fellow for their contribution in the field of Plant Physiology.

He said that the award was presented to them by world renowned agricultural scientists and Member, Rajya Sabha, Dr M.S. Swaminathan during three-day Golden Jubilee Conference of the ISPP on "Challenges and emerging strategies for improving plant productivity" held at Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI), New Delhi late last week.

Nearly 500 scientists and research scholars from India, America and Canada took part in the conference.
