Female dacoit arrested

Morena, MP, Nov 19 (UNI) A female dacoit, who was injured in an encounter with police in Morena district about three days back, was today arrested by Rajasthan police from a private nursing home in that state, police said today.

Superintendent of Police Santosh Kumar Singh said Komesh, girlfriend of dreaded dacoit Jagan Gurjar, has been arrested from Rajasthan's Bandapura village, about 40 km from here.

An encounter took place between Gurjar dacoit gang and police in Singhpur forest in Morena district on November 16. Komesh was injured during the encounter but her friends managed to take her along.

Two jeeps, one rifle and other materials were seized from the spot.

Police informed about the matter to Rajasthan police, which had already announced a reward of Rs 10,000 on the arrest of Komesh.

Police said Jagan Gurjar gang was active in Gwalior, Shivpuri and Sheopur districts in Madhya Pradesh. The Madhya Pradesh Government and the Rajasthan Government has announced a reward of Rs one lakh and Rs 10 lakh respectively on Gurjar.
