ECI orders re-polling in 2 stations in J
Jammu, Nov 19 (UNI) The Election Commission (EC) today ordered re-polling in two stations of Kargil Assembly segment in Leh region for the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly elections.
''Polling was suspended by the EC on reports from Returning Officer and Election Observer at both the stations on November 17 during the first phase of elections following a clash between supporters of the National Conference and Independent candidate,'' sources told UNI.
The re-polling has been ordered by the EC in Saliskot (polling station No. 48) and Aapati (polling station No. 91), in Kargil constituency on November 20, sources asserted.
