Dal Khalsa reminds BJP of racial profiling of Sikh terrorists

Amritsar, Nov 19 (UNI) Coming down heavily on BJP leader L K Advani for raising hue and cry on the term "Hindu terrorists", the Dal Khalsa, a radical Sikh outfit today reminded the BJP leader that the racial profiling of Sikhs and Muslims has been practiced with complete impunity over the years.

"We can enumerate hundreds of screaming headlines (in the media) across the country announcing the arrest of "Sikh terrorists", "Kashmiri terrorists", "Manipuri terrorists" and the like. It's ironic that the pleas of minorities to evolve a code of conduct to end such racial profiling went unheard and unattended", party president H S Dhami and secretary Kanwarpal Singh said in a statement issued here today.

Taking a dig at the BJP for adopting double standards on the issue of "terrorism", the Dal Khalsa leaders said the arrest of certain terrorists, owing allegiance to Hindutva ideology in the Malegaon bomb blast case has opened the Pandora box.

They said the recently arrested head of Jammu peeth, Swami Dayanand Pandey, Sadhvi Pargya and serving Lt Col Purohit for plotting terror crimes targeted at Muslims has brought the ugly face of Hindutva terror to fore.

Contrary to usual assertions by security agencies - that Muslim outfits are behind most terrorist strikes - it has emerged that recent bomb blasts in the country was the handiwork of "Hindutva" groups who were bent on taking revenge. The concerned governments should tender an apology to Muslims of the country for maligning their image after every blast, they said.
