4.5 RDX, ammunition recovered in J

Jammu, Nov 19 (UNI) Security forces today recovered an explosive, along with hand grenades and other assorted material, in twin districts of Jammu and Kashmir, official sources here said.

''In a joint operation launched by the troops of Army and the Police, 4.5-kg of RDX, three Chinese hand grenades, 56 rounds of AK ammunition, 41 rounds of 7.62 mm ammunition, one Radio Set Ericsson and other miscellaneous stores were recovered from Kalakote area of Rajouri district,'' sources told UNI.

The area was cordoned and the searches were intensified in the area.

Meanwhile in another incident, army busted a hideout in Sakhi Pir this evening.

''The troops recovered one GPMG, three AK Rifles, five AK magazines, 100 rounds of AK ammunition and three Radio Sets,'' they added.
