Puri-Howrah weekly to run on normal route

Bhubaneswar, Nov 18 (UNI) The Puri-Howrah-Puri weekly express train will now resume and run on its normal route from November 30, East Coast Railway (ECoR) sources said.

An ECoR release issued here today said the 2888/2887 Puri-Howrah express will run on its normal route from November 30 from Puri and from Howrah on December 1.

Similarly, 2896/2895 Puri-Howrah-Puri Weekly Express will also run on its normal route from December 4 from Puri and from December 5 from Howrah.

These trains were cancelled due to heavy rain and flood in Northern Orissa and West Bengal causing devastating breaches on train line in June last.

With the resumptions of these trains, services between Bhadrak and Kharagpur railway section would be completely normalized, ECor sources said.
