Groundnut, oil, Nigerseed down, RBD palm oil flat

Mumbai, Nov 18 (UNI) Prices of groundnut, oil and nigerseed today declined on lack of demand by stockists, while RBD palm oil remained flat due to moderate demand, traders at the Bombay Commodity Exchange said.

In oilseeds (per quintal), groundnut and nigerseed fell by Rs 25 per quintal each on poor offtake. Castorseed Hyderabad also slashed by Rs 50 per quintal on sluggish demand by bulk conusmers.

However, sunflowerseed and castorseed Bombay shot up by Rs 50 and Rs 15 per quintal respectively, on lesser stock supply by stockists.

In oils (per ten kg), groundnit oil dropped by Rs five per ten kg following sustained heavy selling pressure.

Seasame expeller and castor comm improved by Rs 20 and Rs three per ten kg respectively, on improved demand by bulk consumers.

No change was seen in de-oiled cakes today, traders added.
