Freedom fighter VOC remembered in Pondy

Puducherry, Nov 18: Rich tributes were paid to freedom fighter V O Chidambaram Pillai, affectionately called VOC, on his 72nd death anniversary here on Tuesday, Nov 18.

Puducherry Home Minister E Valsaraj, Tourism Minister Malladi Krishna Rao and PWD Minister M O H F Shajahan and senior officials were among those, who garlanded the VOC statue on behalf of the territorial administration.

Volunteers of the Puthiya Neethi Katchi led by its president Ponnurangam garlanded the statue to mark the occasion.
