Four-year-old boy kidnapped for ransom

Jalandhar, Nov 18 (UNI) A four-year-old was kidnapped by two unidentified motorcycle borne miscreants from the Santokhpura locality of the City tonight.

S P (City) S K Kalia while confirming the incident said that four-year old, Ashroop was abducted while he was playing outside his house. The boy's elder sister was a witness to the incident.

Mr Kalia said that the boys's grandfather later received a telephone call demanding Rupees 30 lakhs for his release. The grandfather runs a musical instruments shop in the City.

Inquiries by the police revealed that Ashroop's father is working in Singapore. The police has registered a case in this connection.
