Dearness relief to freedom fighters increased
Chandigarh, Nov 18 (UNI) The Central Government has decided to grant another instalment of dearness relief to various categories of freedom fighters and their eligible dependents under the Swatantrata Sainik Samman Pension Scheme, 1980 at the rate of 11 per cent with effect from August 1, 2008.
While stating this here today, a spokesman of the Haryana Swatantrata Sainik Samman Samiti said that with the grant of this dearness relief, the total dearness relief to the various categories of freedom fighters and their eligible dependents had increased to 79 per cent.
