Congress take exception to Rajnath's statements
Jaipur, Nov 18 (UNI) The Congress took exception to BJP President Rajnath Singh's statements '' meant to give clean chit to Malegaon blast accused Sadhvi Pragya Singh and an Army officer'' and alleged that the saffron party was trying to politicise the investigations.
Talking to reporters here today, the party spokesman Abhishek Manu Singhvi said the BJP was trying to politicise the investigations in Malegaon blasts and communalise terrorism to draw mileage in ensuing Assembly states, including Rajasthan.
He added that none of the political parties in the country had ever defended any of the terror accused but Mr Singh had been unduly making statements.
He said the saffron party's allegations of '' make to believe investigations'' in the case were baseless and tantamounted to 'bid to politicise investigation'.
Mr Singhvi said none of the agencies or political parties had ever made any reference or allegations of the Hindu terrorism, but it was BJP only which had repeatedly been raking up the vague term (Hindu terrorism).
Refuting the allegations of the UPA government's soft stance against terrorism, Mr Singhvi said the BJP or anyone in NDA did not have moral right to lecture Congress and/or UPA over terrorism.
'' We do not need to take lesson from BJP over the issue'', he said.
