Cong communalising terrorism: Rajnath Singh

Lucknow, Nov 18 (UNI) BJP president Rajnath Singh today accused UPA Government at Centre of using terrorism as a tool to meet its political ends, saying it was a deliberate attempt of the Congress to create a bogey of 'Muslim Terrorism' versus 'Hindu terrorism'.

''We have no reason to disbelieve that United Progressive Alliance (UPA) is communalising terrorism for the sake of vote politics'', he told a press conference here this evening.

The communalisation of terrorism was the most unfortunate thing, which could happen to a country like India and should be condemned at its outset, Mr Singh said adding ''what is more unfortunate that the Congress and other 'so-called' secular parties never bothered to condemn it in the larger interest of the communal harmony of the country.'' In fact, he pointed out that the mentality of all these parties had communalised to the core and their vested interests were overriding their policies and principles, if any remained.

''BJP is not against the impartial probe into the recent Malegaon blast, but the Congress should guard against the selective leak of information either by Mumbai Anti Terrorist Squad (ATS) or Maharashtra government, the senior BJP leader said.

The BJP president said his party would not tolerate the insult inflicted upon Hindu saints or Indian army by indiscreet leakage of unconfirmed information during the course of investigation, mainly in Malegaon blast case.

''BJP is of firm opinion that the Congress and ATS should avoid going to media before the Malegaon probe is completed,'' Mr Singh advised.
