Chennai, Nov 18: Ganesh Sivaraman, a research engineer at the University of South Australia was found dead in mysterious circumstance a week ago. It was only on Friday, Nov 14 Ganesh's parents who live in Vadapalani (Chennai) came to know about their son's death.

Parents received a call from a number in Chennai giving them another phone number in Australia stating that their son Ganesh was in trouble nearly after three days of his death. When Sivaraman (Ganesh's father) called back to the number, they got a police sergeant on line who said that he was not suppose to divulge any details and asked them to contact Indian Embassy in Australia.

Ganesh's mother said to media that there was no response to their repeated calls. But finally they got in touch with the embassy and were informed about Ganesh's death. On Saturday, Nov 15 the South Australian Police reportedly informed the Indian mission in Sydney that Ganesh died of suffocation on Wednesday, Nov 12.
