BJP will effect bifurcation of MCD as per requirements: Malhotra
New Delhi, Nov 18 (UNI) Bharatiya Janata Party chief ministerial candidate Vijay Kumar Malhotra today said his party was open to bifurcation of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi to meet requirements of the city.
''We are open to the idea of bifurcation of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi as per Delhi's requirements,'' Mr Malhotra told reporters after releasing the party manifesto for the November 29 polls to the Delhi Legislative assembly.
In this context, he said that a separate corporation for the East Delhi areas could be created in keeping with the vast requirements of East Delhi areas.
Similarly, separate corporations for other areas could be set up as per the requirements of the various areas, the BJP leader said.
