15-kg RDX recovered in J

Jammu, Nov 18 (UNI) Security forces recovered a rich haul of explosives, including 15 kg RDX and ammunition in twin bordering districts of Jammu and Kashmir ahead of assembly election, official sources here said today.

''Based on a specific information, the Army troops launched a search operation in Udhianpur area of Doda district and busted a militant hideout late last night,'' official sources told UNI.

The troops, however, recovered five kg of RDX besides one grenade, 148 rounds of AK rifle, 18 rounds of 303 rifle, they said.

Meanwhile, in another incident, the troops of Rashtriya Rifles recovered a dump of cache in Chasana area of Reasi district.

''During a search last night, they recovered ten kg of explosives along with other miscellaneous stores,'' the sources added.
