Nitish for stern action against terrorists irrespective of religion

Patna, Nov 17 (UNI) Bihar Chief Minister and senior JD(U) leader Nitish Kumar today said those engaged in terrorism and other disruptive activities should be dealt with sternly, irrespective of their religion or community.

Mr Kumar told mediapersons here that terrorism was posing a serious threat to the unity and integrity of the country and those involved in such activities should be dealt with an iron hand.

''Law should allow to take its own course in such cases without discriminating the accused on the basis of their religion or community,'' he added.

The Chief Minister was responding to a query on BJP's attempt BJP to defend the saffron figures involved in Malegaon blast and other anti-social activities.

''I will not comment on the stand of the BJP on such an issue but stand of the JD(U) in this regard is clear,'' he noted.
