MP seeks loan waiver for SHG women
Tirupati, Nov 17 (UNI) Temple town Member of Parliament(MP) from Andhra Pradesh, Chinta Mohan today urged the Prime Minister Manmohan Singh for waiver of bank loans up to Rs 20,000 paid to the Self Help Group(SHG) women by nationalised banks.
In a letter addressed to Dr Singh, Mr Mohan also urged him to ensure additional loan to them for their economic upliftment and strengthening of their network.
It may be recalled that the United Progressive Alliance(UPA) Government had announced the waiver of farm loans for Rs 73,000 crore early this year and provided several concessions to the industrialists and exporters in the country.
