Mangalore: Keep Konkani culture alive says Mohan Alva

Mangaluru, Nov 17: "Keeping folk arts alive is in the hands of younger generation," said Mohan Alva of the Alva Education Foundation here on Sunday, Nov 16.

He was speaking as the chief guest at a function to release a book in Konkani, 'Mogrem-Karonn', written by Paul Moras. The book is about the Konkani folk music and folk dance. 'One should learn English, but should speak Konkani at home,' Mr. Alva said. K K Pai, president of the Dr. T M A Pai Foundation, said that Konkani language had different variations and they all enhanced the beauty of the language.
