Kolhapur to get Rs 162.82 cr annual development plan

Kolhapur, Nov 17 (UNI) District planning commission today approved its annual development plan of Rs 162.82 crore for the year 2009-10.

Speaking to reporter after the commission's meeting, District guardian minister Harshwardhan Patil said, ''The priority has been given to rural development, small irrigation schemes, road development and water conservation.'' The meeting also approved a proposal seeking to declare the district as a ''place of pilgrimage'', Mr Patil.
