Govt Med college issue, Health Min convenes meeting tomorrow

Puducherry, Nov 17 (UNI) Puducherry Home and Health Minister E Valsaraj has convened a meeting of all legislators tomorrow at 1000 hrs to discuss the issues pertaining to the Government Medical College.

It may be noted that citing financial crisis, the administration had decided to hand over the government medical college building, which was almost completed to the ESI Corporation to start the ESI Medical College here.

However, this drew opposition from different parties, including the main opposition DMK and to sort out the matter, Mr Valsaraj would hold discussions with the legislators.

It is expected that majority of the legislators would prefer the government to run the medical college here.
