Mah govt has disbursed Rs 1,281 cr to SHGs last year: Patil
Kolhapur, Nov 16 (UNI) Maharashtra Rural Development minister Vijaysinh Mohite Patil today said the state government has disbursed Rs 1,282 crore to the women Self Help Groups (SHGs) in the state in the last year.
Mr Patil was speaking at a workshop, organised for SHG women, bank officials and government officials here, presided over by state assembly speaker Babasaheb Kupekar, to create awareness among them of the state government's various schemes.
The state government is providing loans to the SHGs at four per cent interest rate to help the women build a better future for themselves, Mr Patil said.
The government have also decided to set up sales centers for SHG products at tehsil and district level, he said, adding that they are planning to set up district level training schools for women.
