GDA revokes land allotment to forest department in UP
Gorakhpur, Nov 16 (UNI) The Gorakhpur Development Authority (GDA) has cancelled the allotment of 251.05 acre land to the Forest department under Ramgarh Taal Project for not getting complete payment.
According to GDA vice-chairman Hridey Shankar Tiwari today, the authority had alloted 362.33 acre land in total to the Forest department under the Ramgarh Taal project in 1986-87.
The GDA also given the occupancy of the land to the department, but till now the latter had cleared payment of only 110.28 acre piece of land, he added.
In 1986-87, Veer Bahadur Singh was the Chief Minister of the state and incidentlly, his son Kunwar Fatehbahadur Singh is the Forest Minister under the present regime of Ms Mayawati.
