Six people burnt alive in Lakhimpur Kheri, UP

Lucknow, Nov 16: Six people, including five of a backward class family, were burnt alive in Lakhimpur Kheri district of Uttar Pradesh.

Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) of Lakhimpur Kheri, Ramakant Prasad, said unidentified people killed them by setting on fire their hut. A neighbouring woman, who was inside their house, was also charred in the incident.

Preliminary investigation hint that the crime took place over personal enmity, Mr Prasad informed.

Senior police officials have, meanwhile, reached the spot.
