Thane Municipal Corporation bags three awards for PR works

Thane, Nov 15 (UNI) Thane Municipal Corporation's (TMC) Information and Public Relations Department was bestowed with three awards for its best Public Relations works, by the Association of Business Communications of India.

TMC's Information and Public Relations Department got an award for environment communications for running a campaign on eco-friendly Ganesh festival and two others for corporate film on Jawharlal Nehru National Urban Renewal Mission (JNNURM) and an information folder respectively, in the year 2007-08.

This year nearly 500 entries from big corporates like Tata Motors, Tata Chemicals, Mahindra&Mahindra, NABARD, IDBI, ICICI, Reserve Bank of India, Madhya Pradesh Government were received for 34 categories.

TMC commissioner Nandkumar Jantre, received these awards in a function recently, where Maharashtra Governor Dr S C Jamir and Rajshri Birla, Director of Adity Birla Group were present.
