'Skull and bones' warning on cigarette packs from Dec 1
Chennai, Nov 15 (UNI) Come December one, all cigarette packets would compulsorily carry the skull and bones warning signs as the Union Health Ministry is all set to implement the mandatory pictorial warning effectively.
Talking to reporters here today after a function, Union Health Minister Anbumani Ramadoss said this would be strictly implemented from December 1.
The move was aimed at reducing the number of smokers in India as the Health Ministry was concerned about the fact that youths were increasingly becoming addicted to smoking.
