SHO suspended for stay putting a minor girl

Ambedkarnagar, Nov 15 (UNI) Station House Officer (SHO) of Bhanti was today suspended on charges of keeping a girl in the police station for five days in the absence of any women cop here.

According to Superintendent of Police (SP) Ram Swaroop, a woman was beaten to death in an incident at Chamauli village a couple of days back.

SHO P K Katiyar had, however, held five men and the minor girl and put them in 'stay' till completion of the inquiry, the SP added.
