Police seize 20 bombs in continued raids

Kannur, Nov 15 (UNI) The police in continued raids seized 20 crude bombs from three places in the district today.

Eleven bombs were recovered from the premises of an unoccupied house at Chittarithode, near Panur. The bombs, including five assembled in icecream containers, were found hidden under a bush, police said.

Nine bombs were recovered from two places -- six from Makkottpedika, near Panoor and three near Kolavallur.

The raids were led by District Superintendent of Police S Sreejith.

The police has seized 143 bombs during the past few days.
