Handicapped association to support PDP in Kashmir
Srinagar, Nov 15 (UNI) The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) received a major boost, ahead of first phase polling in 10 assembly segments, when Handicapped, Widows and Old age Association (HWOA) decided to support it in the elections.
In a statement issued here today, the president of the HWOA) Ghulam Mohammad Lone announced the support PDP in the polls.
He said a meeting of all district and tehsil office bearers of HWOA was held at Jawahar Nagar today in which it was decided that all nine lakh members of HWOA will vote in favour of PDP candidates.
Mr Lone said the speakers at the meeting lauded the role of PDP patron Mufti Mohammad Sayeed as Chief Minister of the state during which a number of pro people steps were taken.
