UP: Mild explosion in lower court of Lucknow

The blast was low in intensity and again looked like an act of mischief. Minor injuries was caused to two people, according to eye witnesses but police denied it saying no one got injured in the explosion.

Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Lucknow Akhil Kumar and other senior district officials rushed to the spot. The premises was sealed and the search for the mischief mongers was on.

It was second explosion in as many days , though largely harmless, in the lower court premises as on yesterday, a country made bomb explosion had taken place in the bathroom adjacent to District Judge (DJ) court.

The panic waves spread across the court reminding of the serial bomb blasts which had rocked the court premises in Lucknow, Varanasi and Faizabad on November 23 last year in which 14 people were killed and over 50 injured.
