68 pc voting in Chhattisgarh phase 1
Raipur, Nov 15 (UNI) Sixty-eight per cent polling was recorded in yesterday's first-phase polling in 39 assembly constituencies of Chhattisgarh, state Election Office sources said today.
The percentage was comparatively lower in naxalism-affected districts.
Mahasamund district's constituency-wise break-up was Saraipali 78, Basna 79, Khallari 75 and Mahasamund 75; Dhamtari's break-up was Kurud 76, Sihawa 75 and Dhamtari 72; Durg's break-up was Sanjaribalod 81, Dondilohara 78, Gunderdehi 79, Patan 79, Durg Rural 70, Durg City 64, Bhilai City 65, Vaishali Nagar 62, Ahirwara 68, Saja 74, Bemetara 70 and Navagarh 67; Kabirdham's break-up was Pandriya 73 and Kawardha 75; Rajnandgaon's break-up was Khairagarh 76, Dongargarh 76, Rajnandgaon -- from where Chief Minister Raman Singh is contesting -- 78, Dongargaon 79, Khujji 75 and Mohla-Manpur 71; Kanker's break-up was Antagarh 48, Bhanupratappur 65 and Kanker 71; Bastar's break-up was Keshkal 57, Kondagaon 57, Narayanpur 36, Bastar 65, Jagdalpur 62 and Chitrakote 60; Dantewada's break-up was Dantewada 55, Bijapur 43 and Konta 40.
