Writer should not have compared me with CM: Vijayan

Kannur, Nov 14: Communist Party of India (Marxist) CPI(M) Kerala-unit Secretary Pinarayi Vijayan on Friday, Nov 14 said writer Mukundhan , who is also the President of Kerala Sahitya Akademi, should not have compared him with Chief Minister V S Achutanandan.

Talking to newspersons here, Mr Vijayan said ''The issue will not lead to any misunderstanding between me and the Chief Minister''.

It may be recalled that Mr Mukundan, in an interview to a magazine last week had called Mr Achutanandan ''old fashioned and the State needed leaders like Vijayan''.

In the wake of recovery of huge quantities of crude bombs here yesterday, the CPI(M) leader alleged that the Rashtriya Swayamwek Sangh(RSS) was trying to disturb peace in the state.
