Workshop on neonatal care from tomorrow
Chandigarh, Nov 14 (UNI) A single theme two-day workshop on Neonatal Nutrition would be held here from tomorrow to discuss all aspects of the nutrition of newborns and young infants.
The seminar, fifth to be conducted by the Newborn Unit of PGIMER, will be attended by eminent pediatricians from across the country with a special interest in Neonatology.
There will also be discussions based on case histories of actual newborn patients with problems related to nutrition. The issues related to nutrition are of relevance to healthy as well as sick newborns, to full term and premature babies.
It is expected that this highly focused workshop will update the knowledge and skills of the delegates attending the workshop and, in turn, will help to improve the nutritional status of newborn babies and infants, both in the hospital and in the community setting.
The participants include Prof Siddharth Ramji from Maulana Azad Medical College, Delhi, Prof Anil Narang, ex-head of Pediatrics and Neonatology at PGIMER, Dr Umesh Vaidya from KEM Hospital, Pune and Dr S Venkataseshan, Dr Praveen Kumar, Dr Kanya Mukhopadhyay, Dr Bhavneet Bharti, and Dr Sourabh Dutta from PGIMER.
