Small, medium grade sugar costlier

Navi Mumbai, Nov 14 (UNI) Small and Medium grade sugar prices today rose by Rs five and Rs 22 per quintal respectively, on sustained demand by stockists, traders at the Bombay Sugar Merchants Association said.

However, in ex-mill grade, both small and medium grade sugar remained unchanged on moderate demand by bulk consumers, traders added.

Following were the spot wholesale rates of sugar per quintal: Small grade: Rs 1,817/1,850, medium grade: Rs 1,847/1,925 Ex-mill small grade: Rs 1,800/1,810 and medium grade: Rs 1,825/1,870.
