Rs 100 cr development plan for Karnal
Karnal, Nov 14 (UNI) The Haryana Government has made a Rs 100 crore development plan for Karnal District under which various developmental activities would be completed within the next 18 months.
Under the plan, the transmission and distribution system of electricity in the district would be strengthen, said Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda after laying the foundation stone of 33 KV substation Barota to be constructed by the Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam near here today.
He said that Haryana Vidyut Parsaran Nigam and the Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam had jointly commissioned 13 new substations including one substation of 220 KV level at village Unispur, two substations of 132 KV level at village Newal and Jalmana and ten substations of 33 KV level at village Brass, Chor Karsa, Popra, Bahri, Thal, Padha, Salwan, Budhapur, Shamgarh and Nigdhu in the district during the last three years to strengthen power infrastructure. The Nigams had also augmented capacity of eight existing substations.
The government has approved construction of 220 KV substation Bastara, 132 KV substation at village Stondi, Nagla Megha, Bhadson, Ramba, Nadana, Ballah and 33 KV substations at village Gullarpur, Dabarthala, Shahpur, Barota, Kaimla, Kalram, Chochra, Dadlana, Rindle and Raipur Jattan while capacity of 132 KV substation Jalmana and 33 KV substations at Old Power House Garhi Birbal, Ballah, Ram Nagar sector- 12 and sector- 6 is being augmented.
