MP voters yet to touch 2003 tally

Bhopal, Nov 14 (UNI) Despite the addition of more than 4 lakh voters after releasing of second supplementary list by the Election Office here, the total number of voters in Madhya Pradesh rose to 3,63,32,802 but it was still short of the figure of 2003 when it stood at 3,78 45,538.

After adding 4,16,776 voters in the second list, the number of male voters in this election was 1,91,38,932 while female voters recorded at 1,71,93,870, official sources said.

Of the total 50 districts in the state, 10 districts had more than 10 lakh voters each with Indore district recording the highest number of 15,40,510 voters while Harda had lowest 2,77,836 voters.

Jabalpur stood in second place with a total of 13,29,414 voters followed by Bhopal 12,06,456.

Sagar bordering Uttar Pradesh has 11,91,831 voters while Rewa has 11,78,807 voters and Satna 11,39,967, Ujjain 10,47,571, Chhindwara 10,98,965, Gwalior 9,83,920, Morena 9,89,575 and Bhind has 9,46,931 voters, sources added.
