Madurai: New e-ticket rule by Railways

Madurai, Nov 14: No identity proof required to book railway e-tickets now. But they should carry any id proof while traveling as Ticket Collectors will cross-check the identity of the passenger then.

The Railway Ministry has introduced the new rule, which came into effect on November 1, to provide relief to passengers who often forget to carry the proof of identity they use while booking.
