Madurai: Dalit boy gets private health care
Madurai, Nov 14: A three-year old dalit boy who was wrongly medicated by a private clinic, is now going to get the best possible treatment, This was directed by the the Madurai Bench of the Madras High Court ot the Health Secretary.
M Suburaj, who hails from Melavasapaneri, a remote village in Tuticorin district, was suffering from fever and taken to the clinic on Sep 16. A nurse injected some drugs twice and he developed fits. She gave him two more doses and his condition worsened. He was immediately shifted to a primary health care centre at Karunkulam, 15 km away, and from there to the Palayamkottai Government Hospital.
