Country blast in Noida injures 2 children

Noida, Nov 14: A low intensity blast occured in Noida on Friday, Nov 14 putting the National Capital Region (NCR) on high-alert. The explosion took place in a garbage dump at around 1.30 pm near the busy Sector 12-22 intersection injuring two children.

Noida SP Ashok Tripathi confirmed to media about the blast. He said that the two children injured are identified as Sonu and Monu. But Tripathi refuse to devulge more details about the nature of explosion. The two minors were rushed to Noida district hospital for medical aid. The area where the blast occured is being examined by the Forensic experts for more clues. The Noida Police have cordoned- off the area and are ensuring that the situation remains under control. As a precautionary measure, security has been tightened in the region.

After Sep 13 serial bomb blasts in Delhi that killed 18 people and injured more than 70, security has been tightened in the area. But the present blast is sure to raise questions about the security situation in the NCR.
