Japanese culinary skills showcased at World of Food India 2008
Mumbai, Nov 13 (UNI) A wide range of Japanese culinary talent was showcased by the Japanese Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries at the World of Food India 2008 exhibition that commenced at the Bombay Exhibition Center here today.
The three-day exhibition comprises of 12 leading food companies from Japan unveiling their rich range of local food products.
According to Mr Tsukasa Osanai of the Ministry of Agriculture, foodies and the domestic hotel industry can experience genuine agricultural, forest and marine products and foods from Japan in the exhibition. ''On all the three days, Japanese Chef Hidenori Iwasaki of Tokyo Restaurants Factory, would also be holding culinary demos for the food enthusiasts at the venue,'' he added.
The Japanese government's initiative to promote their food products in Indian market coincides with the first-ever ongoing Japanese Food Fest here.
