Inflation will come down to 5-6 pc: Cong

New Delhi, Nov 14 (UNI) The Congress today expressed confidence that inflation would come down to 5-6 per cent in the coming weeks and months.

''The decilne in the prices of foodgrains would also continue, Congress spokesman Manish Tiwari said, apparently elated over inflation coming down to 8.98 per cent for the week ended November 1.

He said the 4 per cent decline in inflation since August was the steepest fall in 18 years.

He said the decrease in the international prices of crude oil and food products was having an effect on India's development.
