Discussion with Diageo at preliminary stage: United Breweries

New Delhi, Nov 14 (UNI) Vijay Mallya-owned United Breweries today said it is only in preliminary stage of discussion with Diageo, which is interested in acquiring a stake in the company's division United Spirits.

There has been evincing of interest, the matter is only at the preliminary discussion stage and no concrete decision has been taken so far, the company said in statement.

Diageo is learnt to be one of several international companies that has held talks with UB, which is looking to raise cash for its loss making Kingfisher Airlines.
